1. St. Peter's Basilica was impressive, the queue was relatively short, and it was free.2. The holes in the soles of my new boots (I have been doing a lot of walking) gives me an excuse to buy a pair of Italian shoes in the Saldi.
3. Jeanette Winterson's 'The Passion'. It's making me want to pop up to Venice while I'm in Italy.
